Dan Lortie, CPA
Dan co-founded DALLE Accounting in 2006 with the goal of offering strong accounting and financial management skills to small businesses and non-profit organizations that could not afford a full-time accountant or chief financial officer. In 2021, Dan formed Lortie CPA Services PC to offer small businesses assurance services that could not be provided by DALLE Accounting.
As Managing Director of the firm, Dan is a Certified Public Accountant and Certified Treasury Professional. He has a master’s degree in insurance from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Accounting from Siena College. Dan is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA). Dan has also served on several local boards as well as national committees in cash management.
Anne Balmes, CPA
Anne joined the firm in 2021 as Tax Director with the merger of DALLE Accounting and DiFabio VanZandt and Company, PC. Anne is licensed as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of New York, and has 30+ years experience in the Public Accounting field. Anne graduated from Siena College with a Bachelor's degree of Business Administration in Accounting. She provides personal, business, accounting, attest and taxation services for a diverse mix of clients. Some of the areas she focuses on is construction, real estate and professional services. Anne is a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA.
Doug Nielsen, CPA
Doug Nielsen joined the firm in 2023 with approx. 20 years of public accounting experience performing audit, tax, and consulting services for closely-held businesses in a variety of industries. He previously served 5 years as the Director of Finance and Taxation for one of the largest construction and real estate companies in the U.S. He also held the position of Acting CFO for a large real estate company in the Northeast. Doug graduated from State University of New York at Plattsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and is a member of the AICPA and NYSSCPA. He has served on various NYSSCPA committees and as an officer of a national nonprofit organization.
